My Mama Said...

I found this awesome blog today and just have to do this.I absolutely love all the prompts and had a hard time choosing one but I chose...2.)10 things my mother taught me

Mama's Losin' It
1.Keep your kitchen and bathroom spotless even if the rest of the house is a mess(sometimes I think I have this backwards)

2.Work hard.No matter if you are sick, tired or don't want to.

3.Save all your receipts(this one did not take very well...sorry mom)

4.Stand up for yourself and say what is on your mind even if it makes the other person mad.

5.Don't let anyone ever take advantage or walk all over you.

6.Manners.This I am most grateful for as there are so many manner-less people in this world.

7.Treat people the way you want them to treat you.The best lesson anyone can teach(that one stuck the most)

8.To be proud to be me.She gave me the space to grow and become who I wanted to be not who she wanted me to be.

9.That everybody is the same no matter the color of skin, language or where they come from.God made all people to be equal.

10.About God.She started my life-long love for my creator and I am so truly grateful for that one.

My mom taught me so much growing up and even now that I am a mom myself. Some things took longer to get and some I just learned by watching her.One thing is for sure, my mom is an amazing woman who I am thankful for everyday.

Hugs and Love,
Brandi

  1. Very nice post. #6 is too true, it's so hard to find good manners in people anymore, everyone's in such a hurry. #3 made me laugh, I keep receipts galore, unfortunately they're scattered all over the house and totally unorganized, so just "keeping" receipts is not all it's cracked up to be! LOL

Stopped by from Mama Kat's. Thanks for sharing, it sounds like you have a wonderful Mom!
